Verdict

Etienne Gerard was once rated very much higher than 45 but remains on that mark after landing an apprentice race at Beverley last week under Faye McManoman, where he was suited by the very stiff track. The three-year-old Mocead Cappall ran his best race to date at Brighton though is still a maiden after 11 starts but Imperial Legend gained his eighth victory here last month, when Kodimoor was behind, and didn't have much of a chance at Wetherby next time. SIMBAS SONG has been going quite well in Ireland and won't mind the conditions. She's only had six starts and is entitled to improve so gets the vote in a tricky finale. Kibaar has dropped to a very tempting mark though hasn't won for two years.
