      Verdict

      Glenrowan Rose has won both previous starts here but her yard also run recent course and distance second Dark Defender and Keith Dalgleish’s mare has a mountain to climb at the weights against ALPHA DELPHINI. Winner of the prestigious Beverley Bullet last year and not disgraced in top company since, Bryan Smart’s six-year-old has no form on ground this soft but is the one to beat if he copes. Soie D'leau has been running well in handicaps, including last time at Ascot, but Taexali has only won a Brighton maiden so far and that was in 2015.
