          Verdict

          Richard Fahey has four entries headed at the weights by George Bowen, who has run better than his finishing positions suggest since winning at Nottingham. The ground won't be a problem but stable companion The Wagon Wheel, who looked a potential pattern race sprinter at Chester, has never raced on anything but quick going. GOODWOOD CRUSADER was attempting a six-timer at Newmarket and didn't get the best of runs. He's won on good to soft ground and looks well drawn so is taken to return to winning ways. Rasheeq has run well on soft ground and a strike-rate of 1-15 doesn't do him justice while Manshood loves soft ground and is in top form though it's possible a draw on the wide outside isn't ideal in these conditions. Royal Brave's last four victories have been on much quicker going while the three-year-olds Scorching Heat and Six Strings face difficult tasks against older rivals. Ascot winner Lightning Charlie was well beaten on fast ground in the race a year ago when Stellarta was fourth though the latter has no form on this sort of ground.
