Verdict
Hoof It won this in 2011 and the consolation race a year ago and was running as well as ever at the end of the last campaign. A pipe-opener at Hamilton will have put him straight and he can never be left out of calculations. Danzeno has a penalty for landing a heritage handicap at Ascot from today's rival Polybius, who is 5lb better off and must have a chance of reversing the places. PROJECTION finished a close fifth a year ago and has continued to go well in top sprints including when a close third in the Wokingham. He's won on ground with some give and has been lightly-raced so there should be some further progress in him and hopefully he won't be too be inconvenienced by a wide draw. Last year's Wokingham winner Outback Traveller didn't run quite as well this time around though that was only his second start of the campaign and he'll be ready for this. Ryan Moore's presence on Sir Dancealot, who won the Listed Rockingham Stakes at York in October, suggests his mount will attract support though he's never raced on anything like ground this soft.
