Verdict

BATHSHEBA BAY is drawn widest of all which doesn't look ideal though Ryan Moore should be able to get to the centre on Richard Hannon's charge, who just failed to hang on over this trip on good to soft at Sandown. Stable companion Rogue has looked in need of this longer trip in both starts at Newbury while Preacher Man was only headed close home by Curiosity at Ascot but was receiving 6lb and the winner was beaten here earlier this week. Trogon made a fair start at Sandown and should be better suited by today's going. Power of Darkness is one to keep an eye on while Capital Flight is a half-brother to six winners. Mark Johnston saddles a couple of newcomers with the Godolphin-owned Dee Ex Bee, who is related to three winners, possibly the best of the pair at this stage.
