In depth

Verdict

River Pride has been winning over 7f and is penalised for last week’s success at Salisbury while Beluga Gold also scored over 7f when successful in novice company at Catterick. Aasser won at Lingfield on his handicap debut but has his first start on Turf. Stablemate Lethal Levi won at Yarmouth last month and cheekpieces are fitted today. Kevin Ryan also runs two with Ballet Steps scoring over the minimum trip at Nottingham last time and novice winner ALIA CHOICE also stepping up in distance. But the latter is the first foal of Lowther Stakes winner Queen Kindly and gets the vote with improvement expected on her handicap debut.
