    Verdict

It's almost a year since Epeius won a race but he's 8lb lower and Serena Brotherton has been booked. Kilconquhar has only won on the all-weather but wasn't beaten far off this mark over the track and trip last week while Alsvinder's ten career victories have included two here from just three visits. HARD SOLUTION claimed his seventh victory in a similar race under today's rider at Redcar though only got up close home to mug Stronsay. The latter didn't get home when tackling 7f at Catterick three days later so may not be able to reverse the form with the selection. Jessie Allan was engaged in the 7.45 at Ayr last night.
