Verdict

A small field goes to post for the finale but it still looks tough to call and the principals look to be Obay, Charlotte Vale and Richtee and the tentative vote goes to Charlotte Vale. The selection was a good second behind Baileys Dancer last time out and off the same mark here she is taken to score under conditions that suit. Obay rates the main danger on her best form but she can pull hard and this small field is not sure to suit. She also gave the impression she was in the handicappers grip last time when third behind Light Wind and she is passed over on this occasion. Richtee is another worthy of respect he was a fair third behind Rutters Rebel last time and a reproduction of that would give him definite place claims. Bold Blade was beaten in a seller last time out over two miles. This looks tougher and he will need to improve significantly if he is to score over this shorter trip and for the winner we return to Charlotte Vale.
