In depth
Verdict
Nutkin appears to have been found the right opening to supplement her Ascot gains and she's preferred to Insaaf and Badalona. James Fanshawe has endured a slow season but the signs have been more positive of late and Nutkin can confirm last month's form with Badalona. She's 3lbs worse off for a couple of lengths but can make light of the difference now that she's found her form. Badalona will benefit from her rider's claim but may need some assistance from the handicapper and Insaaf appeals as a bigger danger having returned to form behind Red Dune at Newmarket. She handles soft ground and her trainer can do little wrong this season. Magic Echo is a likeable mare but vulnerable in this company and the progressive Nutkin should have her measure.
