In depth

Verdict

Several of these arrive in good form and most are proven on soft going. Astrophysics is one while Lady Celia is 2-2 over course and distance and on a hat-trick having scored over 6f on the all-weather last time, though that has earned the three-year-old a penalty. Lyons Lane has done nothing but improve since switching stables in June and she is also on a three-timer. However, Julie Camacho’s filly has to defy a further 5lb rise and a step up in grade. We’ll take a chance on QUANAH, who led a better field than this for a long way at York last time and is another with an excellent course record. Ballyare and Jewel Maker are also worth a second look.
