Verdict

Only six runners but a tricky puzzle to solve nonetheless. Never Dark has won three times on Turf but his last two victories have come at Wolverhampton. Sound Reason’s win at Beverley last month came on good to firm but he was poorly drawn at York last time. Iris Dancer was well beaten when Slainte Mhath won here last month but Love De Vega has been taking on better opposition in his two runs this year. WILLIAM DEWHIRST loves the mud and Ben Haslam’s three-year-old can get his head back in front today.
