Verdict

Ambitious Icarus carries 6lb extra for his win at Nottingham last week but still makes more appeal than Haajes, who won a Redcar seller last month. Sleeping Apache is up only 2lb for scoring at Pontefract on his latest start but has yet to encounter soft going, unlike Roy's Legacy, who went close in testing ground at Musselburgh on his penultimate start. But ECONOMIC CRISIS has recorded all five wins to date at this track and won last year's renewal off a 5lb higher mark. She should be sharper for a comeback run and gets the nod.
