    In depth

Adaay carried Hamdan Al Maktoum's colours to victory in this last year. The same owner has two entered in the first division of the contest this time around with the £90,000 yearling TAZAAYUD, trained by Marcus Tregoning and a half-brother to three winners, looking the pick of breeding. He is in a couple of valuable sales races later in the season and should be forward enough to make a winning start. Ed Dunlop's Qeyaadah cost 160,000gns as a yearling and is a danger while Richard Hannon runs Nelspruit. The Dansili colt Bluebeard, who is closely related to the speedy Camacho, and Fang, who is by Lawman and half-brother to 6f juvenile winner Growl, are others worth a market check.
