    Verdict

Keble was no match for Intilaaq over a mile here on his reappearance but the winner did go on to contest the 2000 Guineas, though was well beaten. John Gosden's colt still holds an entry in the Derby so improvement is anticipated over this longer trip but he may find SCOTTISH too good today. Andrew Balding's charge is also a son of Teofilo but he's already been gelded so can't run in the classics. However, he looked to have a big future when narrowly failing to hold off Mr Singh over 1m3f here last month. Grand Canyon's second at Chepstow last year may not amount to much but Etibaar is probably capable of better. Clowance One has a staying pedigree and will be interesting over much longer trips once he's had some experience.
