    Verdict

ASHBRITTLE comes a long way to break his maiden tag and he is fancied to see off fellow travellers Dynamic Idol and Mighty Mambo. Ralph Beckett's gelding stepped up on a promising debut effort when second to Awsaal at Salisbury on his first run as a three-year-old. He has had a break since that run but this stoutly-bred gelding should relish the uphill finish this afternoon and is fancied to get off the mark. Farmer's Glory should improve for this tougher test of stamina, Dynamic Idol has plenty to find with the selection on their Salisbury running but has since run well at Kempton, whilst Forsyth and Opening Nite are both potential improvers now upped in distance. Mighty Mambo adds more intrigue to the race having been last of seven behind Tactician at Newbury; this looks a better race and the booking of Adrian Nicholls looks a positive. The 72-rated Wadnaan is another to consider however the vote goes to Ashbrittle.
