Verdict

TADALAVIL tops the shortlist here in a competitive sprint; he is joined by Skyfire, Geojimali and Dark Moment on the list of major players. Linda Perratt's course and distance winner scored here in May and has held his form well since then in some better races. His mark of 67 shouldn't be a stumbling block and on ground that suits he looks sure to run well. Skyfire did just that when second to Just The Tonic at Catterick. That winner swooped late to nick the prize but it was an improved effort from this Storm Cat colt and he is unlikely to be far away once more. Geojimali bounced back to form at 33/1 last time at Newcastle and is handicapped to win, a comment that might also apply to the well-bred Excellent Aim on his handicap bow as he drops in grade. Bid For Gold has dropped down the handicap for a series of lacklustre 2010 runs, Monte Mayor One creeps in at the bottom of the weights and is a filly in form, whilst Top Bid remains capable of better but he is paying with the handicapper for two wins in May. Dark Moment continues to run into the places and along with the dropping-in-grade Imprimis Tagula is respected, however Tadalavil gets the nod.
