        Verdict

        Ellovamul and Cyclonic Storm look set to go well on their seasonal debuts, but Sharp Needle has shown enough in maidens to get our vote here. Jeremy Noseda's filly put up her best performance over this trip when finishing runner up to the Michael Stoute trained McClean. She wasn't disgraced on her subsequent outing either when fourth in a competitive event at Windsor. With fitness concerns about her main rivals she can land this modest event. Ellovamul hit top form last September when beating Goldbricker in a Yarmouth claimer, a repeat of that effort could good enough here. Cyclonic Storm went off the boil at the end of last season but had earlier scored a course and distance victory off a mark of 67, so has to be respected in this company. Joint Destiny may do best of the low- weights but Sharp Needle looks on a fair mark for her handicap debut and is taken to land this prize.
