Verdict
It is hard to escape the claims of Whaleef and Down Memory Lane in this moderate contest and the latter edges a narrow vote as he receives 9lb from his Paul Webber-trained rival. Richard Hughes is an eye-catching jockey booking for Down Memory Lane and, as the three-year-old is still open to improvement, the partnership can make the most of what looks to be a good opportunity to shine. Whaleef comes here after a confidence boosting win in a weak claimer at Yarmouth at the start of this month but cannot be relied upon to be in the same frame of mind in here. He took a long time to overhaul a rival officially rated 25lbs inferior on that occasion and will find this a much tougher assignment despite the lack of numbers. Saraaf is capable of giving them all plenty to think about on his his day but as he does tend to save something for himself, Down Memory Lane looks to be the safest option. Go Thunder should be outclassed if they all run up to their BHB official ratings.
