        Verdict

        Orchestration can score at the first time of asking, his biggest danger possibly being Scorch. Jeremy Noseda's colt cost 60,000 guineas as a yearling, has plenty of speed in his pedigree and does not seem to be meeting anything out-of-the-ordinary in this race. Scorch should be sharper for his debut run at Salisbury and he drops back to five furlongs here. Axis drops back to five furlongs after showing some promise over six in two runs on soft. Mark Johnston's Bessemer is sure to prove popular but his breeding suggests that this five will be plenty sharp enough for him. Balwearie also drops back in distance but, again, it is not certain to suit, while Top Achiever is closely related to top-class 1999 juvenile Torgau and could go well at a big price. Overall, though, Orchestration gets the vote.
