Verdict

POLAR FOREST remains a maiden after eight starts but there has been nothing amiss with his attitude in three successive runner-up performances although Richard Guest is hardly likely to be thrilled with the assessor for upping his charge another 2lb for his latest defeat. The Kyllachy gelding rates in good form though and deserves another chance to lose his maiden status. Red Charmer remains in search of form this season whereas Diddy Eric put in a much better effort at Ayr last time and will be a player if maintaining that improvement. Lexington Blue is an obvious candidate for his high profile yard and has every chance. He's been beaten twice since landing a Beverley handicap in early June but hasn't been disgraced on either occasion and will be in the shake-up.
