Verdict

Roger Varian sent out the winner of this two years ago and introduces the Pivotal colt Marreyr, who is a half-brother to useful miler Hors De Combat. But Hugo Palmer has run five three-year-olds here in the last five years and all-but-one has won which is a huge pointer to the chances of IMRAHOR (NAP), who finished second at Newbury on his debut around this time last season and again at Newmarket in June when ahead of a subsequent winner. Yukon shaped with real promise at Redcar last month and is one to note while De Sousa rides stablemate Redshank. En Couleur was finishing with purpose over 7f at Southwell in March so will appreciate the extra, though hasn’t raced since.
