Verdict
This is quite competitive for a Class 6 handicap and a much better race than the second division. Brutalab won over a mile here last month but is just as effective over the longer trip and has had excuses the last twice. Despite a 6lb rise for winning at Windsor, Couldn't Could She is still on a fair mark and Absolute Dream has been running well enough in better races to merit consideration. Armed ran his best race for a while when third at Windsor but is now 0-15. AYR POET didn’t get much of a run at Ayr on Thursday and it’s interesting that Jim Goldie turns him out again quickly here given his good form previously. Royal Shaheen just came up short at Ripon last month and looks the pick of the remainder.
