Verdict

Falmouth Light had the run of the race when making a winning reappearance at Doncaster but he won’t be inconvenienced by today’s going. Poet's Prince has done most his winning on the all-weather and hasn’t beaten a rival in his last three starts but another three-year-old, AYUTTHAYA, is very interesting. Kevin Ryan’s gelding is having only his third run in a handicap and won on good to soft at Ripon in the spring. He’s gone up 3lb for a recent second at Haydock but may have needed that run and this slightly longer trip should be well within his range. Delph Crescent is another with decent claims and Brother McGonagall looks the pick of Tim Easterby’s trio. Theglasgowwarrior is very consistent but a step up in grade could catch out Royal Shaheen and Rockwood.
