Verdict
Sir Mark Prescott's Suite Francaise looks to have been found a perfect opportunity to break her maiden tag here while those that are likely to be contenders for minor honours include River Kent and Afton View. To gain a winning bracket is vital for Suite Francaise as she is a full-sister to the former high class stayer Foreign Affairs. While she possess none of her brothers ability, she has indicated some ability, most notably last time in an apprentice handicap when staying on at the one pace in the closing stages. It would be no surprise to see Seb Sanders make plenty of use of her here. River Kent, an imposing sort who will dwarf his field here, is one paced to say the least and in time may prove his worth over obstacles. He disappointed at Beverley last time when dropping out quickly in the straight. Afton View has been campaigned over a range of trips but this is a major step into unknown territory over twelve furlongs. Prince Rhyddarch showed some promise in a moderate maiden over the course in May but has proved a disappointment since then. Suite Francaise is the pick to come home in front.
