None are ruled out in a tricky finale but recent course and distance second Cosmic Chatter has now run 15 times over this trip and has yet to win. Royal Connoisseur defied a big weight to win at Ripon but steps up a grade for this, though has a talented 7lb claimer on board. Born Innocent and LOTHAIR both drop back from a mile but the pair have won overt rack and trip in the past. Alan Swinbank's charge is looking particularly well treated nowadays and could be another winner for Joe Fanning.
