Verdict

Another interesting affair offering good money on a very good Hamilton in which Royal Ascot sixth Letsimpress can get the better of dual winner Marcus Eile. Jamie Osborne's daughter of General Monash put up a very creditable display behind Silca's Gift in the Albany Stakes on her first run since moving across from Ireland. The downside is that her best form is on going with give in it, but we are prepared to take that chance with her. Dual winner Marcus Eile failed to handle the track at Epsom last time but, back at this level, can give the selection the most to do. A potential drawback for him is the 13lbs he has to concede Letsimpress. Birikina and Iron Temptress both have solid enough form but might not quite be good enough, while Mark Johnston's Dunlea Dancer, who was well behind Birikina on his debut here over five furlongs on good to soft, is bred to need a good bit further than this trip. Kinnaird, who is also bred to need further, made a highly pleasing winning debut over course and distance on good to soft, but more will be needed here. Much as he might find it, Letsimpress could still come out on top.
