      Verdict

      HAAJES and Hamoody have similar profiles in that both know how to win, are now into the veteran stage and mix contesting handicaps with claiming and selling company. The former gets the nod on this occasion as he looks the more reliable of the pair on Turf whereas Hamoody does most of his winning on artificial surfaces nowadays. Course and distance scorer Red Cape has the ability to play a leading role here if producing his best but dropped away tamely at Ripon last week and Mercers Row is just as interesting at the weights.
