In depth

Verdict

Melody King has appreciated the drop in grade on his last three starts, rewarding connections with a recent course and distance success. He didn't run too badly last time either but now is 5lb worse off with IRIS DANCER on his aforementioned winning effort and the Davidson inmate is taken to turn things around as he was only beaten three-quarters of a length that day. The selection has also gone well on all three starts since joining his new yard. Glorious Rio is up 10lb for landing two of his last three starts but it's never a good idea to ignore a sprinter in form and he's well worth a shortlist place. Aleef wins in his turn and is not ruled out either.
