Verdict

Prancing Oscar gets a change of headgear attempting to repeat last year’s success in this racing off a lower mark. Betty Grable escapes a penalty after finishing ahead of both Rosemay and Rioja Day when landing an apprentices race at Ayr a week ago. She’s preferred to Splash Of Verve, placed over longer trips recently, while Irish Times struggled back on Turf last time having recorded a double at Chelmsford in March. SPIRIT OF SARWAN wasn’t beaten that far here last time despite finishing last of seven in a higher grade contest. He’ll find this easier and Stef Keniry’s charge may have finally fallen far enough down the weights to end a long losing run.
