Verdict
LAPFORD LAD took advantage of a slide down the weights to win over course and distance a fortnight ago. A 5lb rise is reduced by a conditional’s allowance and he can go in again. Stand By Me ran well for third over track and trip earlier this month without threatening the winner and the same comment applies to Taunton third Broke Away, who finished in front of Akkapenko. Dora's Field won at Exeter last month but disappointed back at the same track last time.
