In depth

Verdict

SOUTHFIELD VIC arrives in fine form having included a course and distance success in a recent hat-trick of hunter chase wins. Paul Nicholls’ charge is well clear of today’s opposition on these terms and will likely start a short price. Herbert Park won between the flags last month and was beaten only a neck at Exeter before that with Mountain Cliche tailed off. He looks next best given Im All Set has struggled since winning one of these events at Taunton in April and Persian Snow has failed to complete his last four outings.
