        Verdict

        Smoky Hill was placed under today’s amateur at Newbury on his penultimate start but is 5lb higher today. MISS TIGER LILY has also been thereabouts in amateur races at Windsor of late and it’s Harry Dunlop’s filly that gets the nod in this with Hugo Hunt’s 5lb allowance possibly making the difference. Correggio is another helped out by his rider’s allowance while Simon Walker rode last year’s winner and partners Diletta Tommasa this time round. The veteran Sherman McCoy is back on a winning mark but usually saves his best for Catterick nowadays.
