      Verdict

      True Scarlet showed further progress when scoring at Nottingham and is preferred to Newmarket third Deep Snow. Bollin Joan faced a tougher task at York last time but a couple of these are expected to improve now handicapping. Alpha Cru defied a penalty at Pontefract last time and steps up in trip along with EVIDENT BEAUTY (NAP). The latter has also won in novice company and after finishing ahead of a subsequent winner over a mile here last time, the Haggas filly gets the vote given she hails from the family of high-class middle-distance winner The Fugue.
