In depth

Verdict

All six have claims in this heat with BLAZING DIVA narrowly preffered to Rosie All Over, Quiet Bob and Hever Road. Ryan Mania once again rides this strapping grey mare who arrives chasing a hat-trick following consecutive victories at Newcastle. She's got another 8lb rise to contend with here but remains relatively unexposed and stays this far, whilst the mare she beat last time serves to give the form a rock solid look. On the figures there shouldn't be much between her and Boris The Blade here but the last named was pulled up last time and it remains to be seen whether the first-time headgear sparks a revival. With that in mind we'll nominate Rosie All Over as the most likely danger. Donald McCain has his yard in good form and his inmate is seriously well treated on the pick of her form. She's been a shade disappointing this year but did show more when second last time, so with Jason Maguire taking over in the plate a bold show looks entirely possible. Quiet Bob is an unexposed and mildly progressive sort and he did well to win over the tricky Warwick fences last time, beating Hever Road in the process. Again there should be little between the pair with the Hobbs inmate possibly marginally the best on account of the form of the yard and his less exposed profile, but the race they contested at Warwick didn't look very strong and both need to step up, as does Tank Top who remains a maiden after 16 starts. Blazing Diva gets the marginal vote in a very tight contest; indeed the result may boil down to which horse jumps the best on the day.
