Verdict
An intriguing race in which most of the runners can be given some sort of a chance, but Nobratinetta is taken to score on her handicap debut, with Timing and Rahwaan the main dangers. Mary Reveley's filly was a dual bumper winner and finished fourth in a valuable mares event at Cheltenham in April. She has since had two runs on the flat, and won the latest of those, a maiden over twelve furlongs at Hamilton. She seems well treated on that effort, and the step up in trip is likely to suit her. She is the sort of horse that her trainer excels with, and any rain would significantly enhance her chances. Timing has run in a couple of very competitive handicaps this season, and should be spot on now. She is only five pounds higher than when winning a good race at Newmarket towards the end of last season, and Tim Easterby's filly is fancied to go close. Rahwaan ran a blinder from the front in the Chester Cup last time and if given an uncontested lead may be hard to peg back, while Prairie Falcon was just in front of Timing at York last time and is another who should be thereabouts. Dusky Warbler is a classy sort on his day and would be one to consider if the ground came up soft, as he relishes an easy surface.
