      Verdict

      Foundation came here for his debut and started favourite and his supporters never had a moment's concern. He probably beat little but entries in all the major races suggest he's very well regarded. He meets far superior opposition here headed by MANAAFIDH, a maiden winner at Newmarket and a close second in the Group 2 Solario Stakes at Sandown. That form sets the standard and there's no reason why he shouldn't have his stablemate Battle Pride behind again. Cape Love battled on nicely at Thirsk but this is much tougher while Champagne City's three victories have come at a much lower level.
