Verdict
Wrenthorpe is upped in grade and a pound out of the handicap but could have place claims again. Aplomb has proved hard to place but slips further down the weights and will probably pop up somewhere before the season ends. Jabbarockie and Ishvara are both course and distance winners but so is CAME FROM THE DARK, who was successful at this meeting last year and is a real mudlark. He has shot up the weights but a run at York will have blown away the cobwebs and it might help that he is drawn alongside the in-form Militia, who is on a four-timer. Wonderwork will be up with the pace on the stands’ side with Count D'Orsay preferred to Copper Knight. Danzeno is ultra consistent but has only won once since 2017 as the handicapper refuses to relinquish his grip.
