In depth
Verdict
This has been a busy spell for Wares Home, who can put his race fitness to good use if he is allowed to run again after his exertions in traveling to Yarmouth yesterday. There are numerous alternatives though, with Pays d'Amour and the gallant Mallia heading the list of dangers, although American Cousin can never be ruled out at this level and will be a big threat to them all if the ground does not vary too much from the overnight description of good. King Nicholas is another worth mentioning as he at least has some recent winning form to his name and can go well for each-way players. However, Wares Home makes the most appeal at the likely prices as a repeat of his good second at Catterick would be enough to suffice in this company. This sort of trip has always looked to be his best and another bold bid looks on the cards. Pays d'Amour is the one to turn to if the selection misses the engagement for any reason, as David Nicholls' charge is closely matched with the selection on a line through Tancred Times.
