Verdict

ELECTRIC STORM had no trouble in disposing of a decent field at York on a first start in 551 days in June and followed that up with an even better effort when a good third over 1m2f off a 9lb higher mark. He handles forecast conditions and has room for further improvement after just 10 career starts. Dutch Decoy won of a couple of handicaps last month under today's apprentice before running a cracking race at the big Goodwood meeting recently when only beaten two lengths into fourth behind Ajero. La Trinidad is best at York but can't be left out of calculations while Mr McCann has his sights lowered. Young Fire will enjoy conditions so is not discounted either.
