      Verdict

      Glorious Caesar has won at Lingfield and Wolverhampton this year but will have to defy a further 4lb rise in this better race to complete the hat-trick. Maori Knight landed the odds at Chelmsford in February and still has some scope and Bath winner Surrey Pride is probably another with more to offer. Salamanca School won at Nottingham in November but the form hasn’t been franked. CRYSTAL PEGASUS was very green last year but should be a different proposition this season and can defy top weight on his handicap debut ahead of the progressive Cipango and Midnights Legacy.
