        Verdict

        LEXINGTON PLACE is 6lb higher than when landing last year’s renewal but has won off today’s mark subsequently. He was beaten only a head at Redcar last week so a bold bid is expected from Ruth Carr’s sprinter. Bashiba was not far behind the selection last time and has to come into the reckoning while Bosham has been in fine form on the all-weather and can race off a lower mark today given he has only won once in 23 starts on Turf. Ruby's Day is upped in class after a second at Hamilton but Plagiarism is preferred dropping down a grade having slid down the weights.
