Powerallied’s second at Ayr received a boost when winner Tanasoq completed a hat-trick in last week’s Epsom Dash. Mickey’s only poor run this season came when poorly drawn at Chester but stablemate Calder Prince is probably better over an extra furlong, though did win over this trip on the all-weather in April. Summerghand has won twice this year but steps up a grade, as does course specialist Pennsylvania Dutch. PIPERS NOTE isn’t badly treated, despite top weight. He’s only run here once before, finishing third, and seems sure to give a good account. King Robert is a consistent sort who has won off a higher mark on Tapeta while Mostahel has been gelded since last seen and has been lightly-raced so is preferred to Open Wide and Reputation of the others.
