Verdict

Materialist won a maiden race at Ripon last month beating the re-opposing Another Eclipse by only a neck. That pair are hard to separate but race on soft ground for the first time unlike MISTER BELVEDERE. The latter was narrowly beaten in testing going at Ayr last year and should be sharper for last month’s reappearance at Doncaster. Doctor Bartolo will also handle the underfoot conditions while High Waves made a winning start at Chelmsford on November and is another to consider on his return to action
