Verdict

Gabrial picked up some nice prize money when third to the mighty Frankel in the Sussex Stakes and was a fair fifth in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot on his previous run. He's well worth a try over this longer trip but could find another Cecil inmate, JET AWAY, too strong. The five-year-old beat subsequent Princess Of Wales's Stakes winner Fiorente over this trip at Goodwood in May and, though better on really fast ground, should be good enough to land this. Hunter's Light needs to rediscover his best to score here while Ransom Note's best form is over shorter distances and it's difficult to see him hanging on up this long straight.
