      Verdict

      Caradoc was impressive at Chester and holds Lopito on that run, though the form may not amount to much and he is giving weight to a couple of less-exposed types who showed plenty of promise on debut. Swiss Knight is sprint-bred but saw out 7f well enough at Wolverhampton in December, though whether she’ll stay another furlong is a subject of debate. MOUNT ARARAT started out over 1m2f at Newcastle but pulled too hard and didn’t quite get home, though was hampered in the closing stages – he may outstay his market rivals if there is a decent pace.
