      Verdict

OPUS MAXIMUS landed a claimer in soft going at Chepstow last month but today's competition isn't any tougher and he's taken to follow up. Thirsk winner Horatio Carter could only manage third off a higher mark at Newcastle last time, but Fazza can be forgiven his latest poor run over a longer trip and has claims on his earlier form. Lion Court has yet to win but handles the ground and so does Maz, who also has plenty of scope for improvement, but Frontline Girl and The Osteopath appear to have gone off the boil.
