In depth

Verdict

A novice stakes featuring a host of top yards venturing north. Mobadra, apparently unfancied when only beaten half a length by a Stoute hotpot at Newcastle, returns to the fray for the first time since December. She's an interesting proposition, as is Ocean Wave who shaped well on her Thirsk debut at the start of June. GAL WONDER and Evident Beauty clashed over this trip at Newmarket last month when the Gosden filly emerged victorious by just under two lengths. However, the Haggas charge is now 7lb better off and there should be very little between them, but the winner scored quite takingly on that occasion and just gets the nod to follow up.
