In depth

Verdict

Roberto Pegasus may not have beaten much when getting off the mark over fences at Plumpton and is likely to find this much tougher off a 6lb higher mark. Scotch Warrior will be warming up ahead of a return to his beloved Perth next month but Rowdy Rocher is certainly worth a second look having returned to winning ways at Wetherby. HOLD COURT doesn't stay 3m so is readily forgiven his latest run at Sandown behind the classy Unioniste. He'd jumped soundly and quickened well when successful in a beginners' chase at Ludlow previously and has more scope than the majority of these. Tahiti Pearl is well enough treated if anywhere near his best but Galway Jack struggles to win off this sort of mark, though went close at Doncaster in December.
