In depth

Verdict

Streak Lightning could be anything after winning his first two starts last month with the minimum of fuss. A mark of 90 could be lenient on his handicap debut but he is stepping up in grade. Cap Francais easily handed the drop back to a mile here last month and should go well again but Alternative Fact had the run of the race when scoring over track and trip two weeks ago. Club Wexford only finished fifth that day but the confirmed front-runner had a wide draw to overcome and will find it easier to get to the front today. WAR GLORY should be approaching peak fitness and slips further down the weights so gets a tentative vote with Chatez starting to show his age. Hortzadar, first past the post last time at Hamilton but disqualified after weighing in light, and the returning Jahbath, are also worthy of consideration.
