      Verdict

      Papa Cocktail made a promising start when a close third over this trip at Yarmouth and might be the biggest danger to AL SHIBLI. The Hannon colt only had to be pushed out to score over 6f at Chester and that looks stronger form than Red Power’s narrow victory at Redcar. Baikal cost a massive 325,000gns as a yearling and connections will be keen to recover some of that outlay while Carbonado is also interesting being a half-brother to three winners.
